A Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) is a healthcare professional who specializes in diagnosing, assessing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals across the lifespan. SLPs work with patients who have difficulties due to a variety of causes, including developmental delays, neurological conditions, injuries, or other health-related issues.
• Bachelor’s in required field
• DHA / DOH Eligibility or License Active
• Valid BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP Certificate
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities.
Evaluate speech and language skills through formal and informal tests, observations, and interviews.
Identify speech and language disorders, including speech sound disorders, language delays, voice disorders, aphasia, stuttering, and dysphagia (swallowing issues).
Analyze patients' medical history and work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to make accurate diagnoses.
