Job Description
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and improvement of mechanical systems and components. This role involves utilizing advanced engineering principles to create innovative, efficient, and reliable designs, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of mechanical projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies.
Create and review detailed design specifications, CAD models, and technical drawings (using tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Pro/ENGINEER).
Ensure designs meet performance, safety, reliability, and cost objectives.
Conduct design analysis (e.g., stress, thermal, and fatigue analysis) to validate mechanical components and systems.
Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on design specifications and cost considerations.
