Job Description
The OT Nurse is responsible for delivering skilled perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery. This includes preparing the operating room, assisting the surgical team, and ensuring a sterile, safe environment throughout all phases of the surgical procedure.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Assist the surgical team as a scrub nurse (handing instruments) or circulating nurse (managing the OR environment).
Monitor patient conditions and vital signs during surgery.
Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
Perform surgical counts (instruments, sponges, needles) before and after procedures.
Assist in patient positioning and draping.
