Supply Chain Officer
Job Description
The Supply Chain Officer is responsible for managing the logistics, procurement, inventory, and distribution processes within the oil and gas industry. The role ensures that materials, equipment, and services are sourced and delivered on time to support operations while maintaining cost-effectiveness and compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the procurement of goods, materials, and services required for oil and gas operations, ensuring that all purchasing activities are carried out in line with company policies and industry standards.
Work closely with project managers and engineers to identify material requirements and ensure timely procurement.
Issue purchase orders and manage the approval process for purchases.
Evaluate and select suppliers, ensuring the best value, quality, and delivery timeframes.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and service providers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
