Job Description
The Spray Painter is responsible for applying coatings and paints to equipment, piping, storage tanks, and other assets within the oil and gas industry to protect them from corrosion, weather damage, and wear. The role involves surface preparation, mixing and applying coatings, and maintaining spray painting equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces to be painted by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and removing rust, oil, and other contaminants.
- Apply primers and other surface treatments to enhance the adhesion of paint coatings.
- Ensure proper preparation techniques are followed to create an ideal surface for paint application, ensuring durability and long-term protection.
